Quality, elegance and appreciation of the terroir reveal the personality of Santa Augusta Winery, which considers the cultivation of vineyards a true art. From the dream of two brothers, descendants of Italians and passionate about viticulture, the project of making fine wines was born. Initially, under the command and guidance of the patriarch, the production was made in the basement of an old wooden house, until today present in the property. At that time, the cultivation was limited to plants of American varieties. Then, with the suggestion of a friend winemaker, who realized the potential of the region, was implemented the planting of European varieties, starting the production of grapes for great wines. In 2006, the project to build a winery ceased to be a dream and came true. In honor of the patron saint of Vitorio Veneto, the image of the Saint was brought from Italy by the De Nardi brothers, and thus the winery named Santa Augusta. Located in the city of Videira, capital of grape and sparkling wine, more than 1000 meters above sea level, the winery has a terroir that presents ideal conditions for the development of great wines and sparkling wines. The vineyards of Santa Augusta benefit from well-defined seasons: cold and rainy winters, warm summers, sunny summers, with great thermal amplitude between day and night which benefits the grape cultivation. In the winery the whole process of cultivation, selection and harvesting of grapes is carried out manually, Strict care is adopted in the planting and vineyard and used the most modern technology in winemaking. High-tech machinery, stainless steel tanks, cold chamber for reception of grapes, as well as modern autoclaves and a specific line of filler for fine sparkling wines, provide internationally recognized quality. In the maturation of red and some white wines, noble oak barrels are used, with control of temperature and relative humidity. VSA-label wines are the result of the combination of advanced techniques, privileged conditions and international technology.
