Description
An EMC Cable Gland is a kind of cable entry system widely connecting cable to terminal equipment (junction box) to not only provide optimal strain relief to prevent the cable from pull-out to protect electrical or electronic components inside the equipment against the ingress of dust, water, weak acid & alkaline, oil, solvents, but also protect electrical equipment from electromagnetic interference, they fulfil a key function in EMC protection at the critical transitions to enclosures. Such EMC Shielded Cable Glands deflect electromagnetic waves over the housing surface according to the Faraday cage principle and thus protects the exposed cables inside the housing. EMC Cable Glands are available in standard long thread and extralong thread, standard long thread is used for a thin wall and extralong thread is recommended where the cable glands have to pass through a thick wall or the application just needs the extra thread length. They are popularly applied for connecting and fastening flexible cables or wire on electrical equipments, moving machineries, telecommunications, network communication, automatic control, power supplies, switches, motors, distribution boxes,solar PV modules, surveillance cameras, plant engineerings, installations, meters and instruments, etc.
(1) Material:
- Metal parts: brass nickel plated.
- Seals and O-rings: Oil-resistant nitrile rubber (weather-resistant EPDM rubber, silicone rubber or Viton rubber also available).
(2) Standard Color: Metallic.
(3) Thread length: there are two types of short thread and long thread.
(4) Waterproof protection: IP68/IP69K (use with O-ring within specific cable range).
(5) Working temperature:
- Static: -40°C to 100°C, short time: 120°C.
- Dynamic: -20°C to 80°C, short time: 100°C.
(6) Main features: waterproof, acid-resistant, oil-resistant, UV-resistant, anti-aging, durable, good performance, long service life, etc.
(7) Application: Mainly used for connecting and fixing flexible cables or wires, providing additional protection against pull-out and pull-out, dust-proof, waterproof, oil-proof, etc. With excellent weather resistance, wide clamping range, strong stress relief, and high sealing performance, this gland is widely used in distribution boxes/cabinets, mobile mechanical parts, automatic controls, factory engineering, etc.
