The company was founded in April 2007 to industrialize a by-product of 6 years of research in the medical area: OrthoMouse , or Orthopedic Mouse (it is a must to all users of mouses: those who already have problems of Repetitive Stress Injury – RSI - or for those who do not want it ).

Orthovia is composed of engineers, specialists in Marketing and a doctor to better control its production, sales and service to its customers. The customers are individuals and companies that ensure the well being of its employees (Alcon, Banestes, Dow Brazil, Elektro, EPE, Petrobras, FEAC, UNICAMP, USP, PRODESP, Ipiranga Quimica, Mercur International, Omrom Bitron, Plaenge, Robert Bosh, Susano Papel e Celulose).
