Description
Feasibility study on the use of micronized soybean as a substitute for powdered milk. Total replacement of powdered milk with micronized soybean and enzyme for weaned piglets (Better performance \ COST REDUCTION) The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of replacing powdered milk (PM) with micronized soybean (MS) and micronized soybean with b-mannanase enzyme (SME) on animal performance and economic analysis. Thirty-six male piglets, weaned at 21 days of age, with an average initial weight of 6.41 ± 0.52 kg, were used in a randomized block design with three treatments and twelve replicates. The diets were divided into three phases: phase I, from 0 to 14 days, phase II from 14 to 28 days and phase III from 28 to 42 days of the experimental period. For performance, daily feed intake – CDR, daily weight gain – GPD and feed conversion – CA were evaluated. Economic viability was also evaluated. From 0 to 14 days, SM differed (P0.05) between treatments. Considering all variables in the total period of the experiment (0 to 42 days), GDP was higher (P
