Magnífica Cachaça is produced at our farm, Fazenda do Anil, on the border between the municipalities of Vassouras and Miguel Pereira, in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro.
Fazenda do Anil started producing cachaça in 1985, but the Magnífica brand was only created in 1997. The Magnífica bottle was first unveiled to the public at the launch of the Brazilian Programme for the Development of Cachaça (PBDAC), in the same year.
The creation of such a special cachaça is a dream come true for its producer, João Luiz Coutinho de Faria. He's always aimed to produce a cachaça as good as the best distilled drinks in
the world.
Distilled in a copper pot still and aged in oak barrels, Magnífica is widely known nowadays, with notorious fans in Brazil and other countries to which it's exported.
