In the units of the Farms São Marcelo, techniques of animal breeding are also applied aiming to improve and increase production of bulls and reproductive cattle with the characteristics of productive interest. This commitment is developed in conjunction with PAINT, breeding program for beef cattle from CRV Lagoa, which in addition to working in accordance with the farms’ philosophy, selects animals from the beef breeds in a grazing production system, providing full genetic evaluations related to the production of the entire herd.<br><br>Genetic evaluations are to generate EPDs (Expected Progeny Difference) and EPPs (Expected Progeny Performance), which allow predicting the genetic values of each animal and, based on that, select breeders and reproductive cattle that have the best values for the desired characteristics. Thus increasing the genetic gain and performance in each generation.<br>
