Dear team My name is Grace and I’m the founder of an Australian manufacturer of limewash and mineral-based decorative coatings. We are currently looking for an OEM partner to develop a mineral silicate penetrating sealer compatible with our limewash system. We are not outsourcing limewash production, only the sealer. Below is the product brief, along with a competitor SDS attached for context. Product Brief: Mineral Silicate Penetrating Sealer (Liquid) Purpose: A breathable, non-film-forming mineral sealer designed to reduce chalkiness in limewash, lightly consolidate porous substrates, and maintain full vapour permeability. Suitable for interior and exterior use. Performance goals: • Penetrates the substrate rather than forming a visible film • Slight surface hardening • Very low sheen • Breathable and water-permeable • Alkali-resistant • No yellowing • Compatible with limewash, silicate primers, lime render, masonry, and primed gyprock • Shelf life 12+ months Technical expectations: • Potassium silicate or modified-silicate base is acceptable • Stable pH • Reliable penetration on a range of mineral substrates • Minimal colour shift on limewash • Should not create gloss • White-label capable • Bulk + retail packaging options needed Reference Competitor (for context only) Murobond Mineral Silicate Primer is a competitor and has a similar mineral silicate primer to what we are looking for.  This is the closest benchmark in our local market and demonstrates the type of product category and performance profile we are aiming for. We are not looking to match or copy their formulation. We would prefer to either: • improve on handling, penetration, or stability, or • develop a similar silicate-based sealer that meets the performance brief above.
