1.7225 is a commonly used heat-treated steel, characterized by high strength and high toughness.

It is mainly used in machinery construction as well as in the fields of vehicles and automotive. Shafts, axles, and linkages are all made using this material.

The material 1.7225 has extremely high hardenability, therefore it is not suitable for hardening structures. If hardening is necessary, it is recommended to carry out heat treatment.
