2b stainless steel finish, is one of the most widely used surface treatments. This process involves lightly polishing cold-rolled, softened, and descaled hot-rolled stainless steel coils with polished rollers, a technique known as skin passing. 
The resulting 2B stainless steel surface finish is characterized by a smooth, matte texture with minimal gloss, resembling the smooth skin of a dolphin. With a surface roughness (RA) of 0.2 to 0.5 micrometers (μm), it provides a clean, understated appearance and a subtle sheen without being overly reflective.
