Brief introduction:
Terpineyl acetate occurs naturally in a variety of essential oils, such as cypress oil, pine needle oil, melaleuca oil, cardamom oil, etc. It is a colorless to yellowish liquid with lemon and lavender aromas. Industrially, it is catalyzed by sulfuric acid and acetylated terpineol with acetic anhydride at slightly higher than room temperature. The application of terpineyl acetate can be used as the preparation of peach, plum, apricot, raspberry, cherry, grapefruit, zhongzhi, sage, cardamom, spices and citrus and other food flavors (ADI: 1mg/kg per day, according to GB2760-1996 standard in China); It can also be used as lavender, lemon, forest, fuchie and other fragrance fragrances.
Chemical properties: colorless liquid, with woody floral fragrance. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, benzene and other organic solvents. It is used to prepare lavender, cologne, soap and food flavors
Use:
Terpineyl acetate is a food spice allowed to be used in China's "Hygienic Standards for the Use of Food Additives", which is used for the preparation of fruit-based food flavors such as bayberry, cherry, citrus, peach, spice, etc. The amount used in chewing gum is 14~260mg/kg; 1.7~40mg/kg in meat; 15mg/kg in condiments; 15mg/kg in baked goods; 6.3mg/kg in candy; 3.5mg/kg in soft drinks; 3.2mg/kg in cold drinks.
