Description
Glutathione is a tripeptide compound formed by the condensation of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine through peptide bonds, and is the most important low-molecular-weight thiol in mammalian cells to resist oxidative stress.
Discovered in 1921 and determined in 1930, Dr. Al Mindel, a famous American nutrition and health care expert, called glutathione a three-fold anti-aging amino acid.
Also known as nature's antioxidant master, the appearance is colorless transparent and slender granular crystals, soluble in water, dilute alcohol, liquid ammonia, dimethylformamide, insoluble in ethanol, ether, acetone.

Use:
1. Reduced glutathione is a small molecule peptide, which exists in a large number of organisms, especially in liver cells, which has the effect of protecting liver cell membranes, promoting liver enzyme activity, and combining with many toxic chemicals to play a role in detoxification.
It has a good effect on liver injury caused by various reasons such as drug poisoning and alcohol intoxication, liver cirrhosis and other diseases.
2. It has the functions of anti-oxidation, free radical scavenging, detoxification, enhancing immunity, delaying aging, anti-cancer, anti-radiation hazards, etc.
3. Biochemical reagents and antidotes are mainly used for poisoning by heavy metals, acrylonitrile, fluoride, carbon monoxide and organic solvents
4. Endogenous antioxidants that play an important role in the reduction of reactive oxygen species formed during cellular metabolism and sudden respiration. Glutathione-S-transferase catalyzes the formation of glutathione thioether with xenobiotic, leukotrienes, and other molecules with electrophilic centers.
Glutathione also forms disulfide bonds with cysteine residues in proteins. Through these mechanisms, it can have the singular effect of reducing the effectiveness of anticancer agents.
