<br>A critical component in the lubrication and cooling systems of internal combustion engines, the oil pump is responsible for circulating the lubricating fluid among the moving parts of the engine, reducing the friction between mating surfaces, minimizing heat generation and removing impurities created during engine operation.<br>The thrust of the lubricating flow through the engine oil galleries is performed via gears or rotors, the latter being driven directly or indirectly by the crankshaft. Some oil pump models have a relief valve coupled to their body, the function of which is to adjust the pressure and the flow of the fluid within the lubrication system
