Tour of Hikes to know the Lost City some ruins of the Tayrona desentiendes are made in 4 days and 3 nights. 4 days and 3 nights Day 1 Santa Marta – Mamey – Campsite 1 • Departure from Santa Marta. • 3 hours ride in a 4 by 4 vehicle.Final destination: Mamey at 9:30 am. • Lunch in de destination town and a 4 hours hike to the fist campsite. • Dinner at the campsite. • You’ll sleep in hammocks or bed depending on availability. Day 2 Camsite 1 – Mutanyi – Camsite 3 • Departure from campsite 1 will be around 6:00 am. • 3:30 hours of Hike to campisite 2. We will have lunch there. • 4 hours hike till campsite 3. It is called “El Paraiso”. • Dinner at the campsite. • You’ll sleep in hammocks or bed depending on availability. Day 3 Campsite 3 – Lost City – Campamento 2 • Departure from the campsite will be around 5:30 am. • 1 hour hike to the lost city. • Four hours tour to explore the archaeological, ethnological and historical zone (The Lost City). • Return to campsite 2. • Dinner at the campsite. • You’ll sleep in hammocks or bed depending on availability. Day 4 Campsite 2 – Mamey – Santa Marta • Early departure from campsite 2. • A 7 to 8 hours hike to return to Mamey. • We will have lunch in the town. • A 3 hours ride in a 4x4 vehicle to Santa

Our most popular tour, the trek to the Lost City is an unforgettable experience and a must-do for anyone serious about getting to know Colombia. The Lost City is an archaeological Tayrona territory of an unknown city dated back to the year 800C.E., over 500 years before Machu Picchu. To arrive at this Tayrona archaeological masterpiece, one must trek through the vast jungle environment of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and then ascend around 1,200 ancient stone steps. The trek will take you up and down the Sierra while offering unbeatable scenery and wildlife. Once in the Lost City, be prepared to have your breath taken away by the network of roads and circular plazas .

This hiking tour takes 4 to 5 days with everything included.
