Description
A thermocouple is a temperature sensor widely used in industry, based on the SEEDECK effect, which generates an electrical voltage proportional to the temperature difference between two metal junctions. Composed of two metal wires of different materials joined at the ends, it generates an electrical signal proportional to the measured temperature. It has a very wide operating range, measuring from -20°C to 1800°C, depending on the type. The most common types are J, K, T, E, N, S, R, and B. It is robust, economical, and responsive.
