The stranded 1350 aluminum conductors shown in this section are classified as follows: Class AA is bare conductors typically used for overhead lines; Class A is suitable for conductors covered with weathering materials as well as bare conductors that require greater flexibility.

Compact stranded conductors are also available for bare overhead applications or for use with weather-resistant coverings or insulation.

Grade refers to stranding, which is an indication of relative conductor flexibility, AA is the least flexible and C is the most flexible.
