Product Overview: The HCDAR-5X electromagnetic pulse propagates at the speed of light along a waveguide cable or rod. When it encounters the surface of the measured medium, part of the pulse is reflected, forming an echo that returns along the same path to the pulse transmitter. The distance between the transmitter and the surface of the measured medium is proportional to the propagation time of the pulse, from which the liquid level is calculated. Product Principle: High-frequency microwave pulses emitted by the guided wave radar propagate along the detection component (cable or rod). Upon encountering the measured medium, a sudden change in the dielectric constant causes reflection, and part of the pulse energy is reflected back. The time interval between the emitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance to the measured medium. Guided wave radar is a measuring instrument based on the time-of-flight principle. Radar waves travel at the speed of light, and the travel time can be converted into a level signal by electronic components. The probe emits high-frequency pulses that propagate along the cable or rod probe. When the pulse encounters the material surface, it is reflected back and received by the receiver inside the instrument, converting the distance signal into a level signal.
