The 2BV series liquid ring vacuum pumps are suitable for pumping air and steam. It has a suction pressure of up to 33 mbar (abs) (i.e. 97% vacuum). If transformer oil is used as the operating fluid, these pumps are called oil ring vacuum pumps and have a suction pressure of up to 6.7 mbar (abs) (i.e. 99% vacuum). Therefore, the oil ring vacuum pump can completely replace the reciprocating vacuum pump. When a liquid ring vacuum pump operates for a long time under conditions close to a limited vacuum, it needs to be coupled with a cavitation protection tube to eliminate the squeal and protect the pump.
When the compressor is operating, the maximum pressure is 0.26MPa (abs). The higher the discharge pressure, the more power the compressor will be. Therefore, it is necessary to provide data on the discharge pressure to select the right motor.
