Uses of industrial calcium nitrate: Wastewater treatment: reduces odors and controls the formation of sulfides. Concrete industry: used as a setting and hardening accelerator. Explosives: component in the production of explosive emulsions (oxidizing mixture). Metallurgy: in heat treatment baths and as an oxidizing agent. Cooling and refrigeration: in saline solutions for heat absorption.
