Ceusa will turn 60 years old in 2013. Founded in July the 30th 1953, by an association of Urussanga’s community members (state of Santa Catarina), the company started its activities with 140 workers, in a 6 thousand square meters built area and producing 10 thousand square meters/month of wall tiles.
In 1980, the Oliveira’s family acquired the equity control and expanded its production capacity to 60.000 m²/month and 24.000 m² area. In the same decade, the single firing process began, and in 1990 the double-fast double firing process with roll kilns, which made Ceusa the pioneer in this process in Brazil and Latin America.
Then, the production of polished and rectified pieces came into Ceusa’s scenery and, in 2001, came the porcelain tile presses. Today, the company stands out in the national market for its excellence in ceramic tiles. The company counts with 350 employees and production capacity of 210,000 m² per month.
