Silicon slag is a byproduct of the production of metallic silicon and ferrosilicon, typically containing 45%-68% silicon and other components. Its high content of alkaline oxides reacts with sulfur dioxide to form sulfates, and its slurry can be used for flue gas desulfurization. Silicon slag can also be recycled to produce pig iron and ordinary castings. It effectively raises furnace temperatures, improves molten iron fluidity, provides high-quality slag removal, enhances labeling, and improves the toughness and machinability of castings. In the electric furnace refining of stainless steel, stainless steel manufacturers use silicon slag as a reducing agent to increase efficiency and yield. Silicon slag production process: Our factory produces silicon carbide using silicon, petroleum coke, and sawdust as the primary raw materials. We formulate different raw materials based on the grade of silicon carbide, process them in a 2000°C electric furnace, and then process them according to customer specifications. Generally, products with a higher silicon slag content are greener in color, while products with a lower silicon slag content are grayer in color.
